Last Thursday was Thanksgiving. I decided to stop and think about those seemingly small things that are really the biggest things to be thankful for. We seem to take them for granted easily. Please follow and like us:0

I love candles and the atmosphere in my home when I light them. However, ever since I developed Scent Sensitivity Syndrome, I can’t have them in my house. Please follow and like us:0

  1. I’m grateful for the gorgeous autumn weather. The air is crisp, cool and clear and the leaves are absolutely beautiful.  I wish it would stay like this all year long. Please follow and like us:0

Have you ever found that sweet spot where everything seems to flow? When you don’t notice time passing? Some find it cooking (my husband wishes he were so lucky), some find it in music and others in a gazillion different activities. For me, it’s soap making. I call it the zen of making soap […]

This was such a great weekend. I had my annual Open House on Saturday, so this is an Open House themed Gratitude List. It’s an automatic that I’m grateful for my family’s help, my sisters who wrapped soap for 5 hours straight, my parents who entertained with their stories, and my husband who was on goodie bag duty. I couldn’t have done it without them!

1. I’m grateful so many of my long time customers were able to make it to my Open House this year. I loved showing off my soap studio and my home. I received thank you notes from some (thank you Diane, Sue, Tracy, Donna and Jim!). And I’m grateful for the new customers who showed up with friends. (more…)

It only takes 20 minutes and every time I do it I’m glad I did. I’m relaxed, my skin feels great and my mood improves. I don’t know why I don’t do it every night. I probably should. What is it? My bath time. Please follow and like us:0

I met Dean when he took Bath and Body University in NYC a few years ago.  Actually, I meet a lot of people that way since I assist Marla with her classes when she comes to NYC.  There was something special about Dean and we quickly became friends. Saturday night I was perusing Facebook and found out he had a motorcycle accident.  Dean is fine, but that made me stop and think of some reasons why I am grateful for him.

1. I’m grateful for the weekend Dean dragged my suitcase through the streets of Manhattan.  And it wasn’t a Louie Vuitton suitcase. 🙂 (more…)
