Alegna Soap Gratitude List Thanksgiving

By Angela Carillo on Monday, November, 28th, 2016 in Gratitude List.

I didn’t post my Gratitude List last week. It had been a really stressful week, and my gratitude was too intimate. I did have one though, and it was all about my sisters.

This week I’m grateful for Thanksgiving because we had one with both Dominick’s.  My dad Dom, and my grandson Luke Dominik.   My dad was home from the hospital and Steve, Lisa and Luke came over.  My sisters and I cooked a turkey at my parents house. Luke crawled around the floor and found every crumb we had missed when we vacuumed.  He had 8 adults totally entertained for the entire day.

We wore jeans and sweat pants, and Steve even came is shorts and sandals with socks.  No one dressed up.  We sat on folding chairs and ate off really good disposable plates that we threw away, much to the dismay of my dad. For dessert we ate pumpkin cheesecake and a chocolate layer cake without anything in between the layers.

Simple. Ordinary. And I’m so grateful for the day.

What are you grateful for this week?

  1. So sweet Angela, glad you were able to spend time with both Dominicks.

  2. I’m grateful for this year of trial and error. It has made me a stronger more compassionate women and in front my children. This year has been a wonderful lesson in so many areas. For that I am so blessed.

We had a really nice Thanksgiving too. Super casual. I’m grateful I got to spend time with my 4-year-old great-nephew (grand-nephew?) that I don’t get to see too often. I hope everything is going well.
